Method
Make the crust
- Mix the crushed Golden Oreos (or shortbread cookies) with the melted butter until evenly coated, then press firmly into a 9-inch pie dish.
- Freeze the crust for 15 minutes to firm it up before adding the filling.
Make the strawberry cream filling
- Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar and vanilla and stir until combined.
- Stir in the strawberry puree until fully incorporated, then fold in the whipped topping until no streaks remain.
- Pour the strawberry cream filling into the crust and smooth the top into an even layer.
Add the crunchy topping
- Mix the crunch topping ingredients—crushed Golden Oreos, crushed freeze-dried strawberries, and melted butter—then press firmly onto the top of the pie.
- Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours until solid.
Slice and garnish
- Let the pie sit for 5 minutes before slicing so it cuts more cleanly.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries and extra whipped cream right before serving.
Notes
For the cleanest slices, press the topping firmly so it adheres to the frozen surface. Store covered in the freezer up to 2 months; thaw in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes before serving for slightly softer texture (no microwave). This is naturally vegetarian; for a dairy-light option, use reduced-fat cream cheese and a lighter whipped topping.
