Ingredients

Frozen strawberry base
  • 3 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 can (12 oz) frozen pineapple juice concentrate
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar Optional; add for extra sweetness.
  • 1 maraschino cherry Optional topping.

Equipment

  • 1 food processor

Method

Blend into soft-serve
  1. Add frozen strawberries, frozen pineapple juice concentrate, and water to a food processor, then blend until smooth and soft-serve consistency is achieved, scraping down once if needed.
  2. Taste and add powdered sugar if extra sweetness is desired, then pulse briefly until evenly incorporated and still thick like soft-serve.
Serve
  1. Divide the blended strawberry mixture into serving cups or cones and top with a maraschino cherry if desired for a classic finish.
  2. Serve immediately for the best whipped texture and visible strawberry swirl effect.

Notes

For the creamiest texture, use strawberries straight from the freezer and blend just until smooth—over-blending can warm the mixture and make it looser. Store leftovers in a sealed container in the freezer up to 1 day; refreeze may become firmer, so let sit 1–2 minutes before serving again. Freezer yes. For a simpler dairy-free option, this recipe already contains no dairy; keep it dairy-free by ensuring any add-ins (like cherries) don’t include dairy ingredients.
